About Restumping Geelong

Restumping Geelong is a restumping and reblocking service working across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast. The work is the structural end of home repair: replacing failed stumps, relevelling floors, underpinning sunken footings and repairing the bearers and joists in between.

The local housing stock is why the trade exists here. A large share of the region's homes, from Edwardian weatherboards near the city centre to the 1950s and 60s houses of the northern suburbs and the older cottages of the Bellarine, were built on timber stumps that are now decades past their expected life. Reactive clay soils that swell and shrink with the seasons do the rest.

The process is deliberately simple. You get in touch, we book a free inspection, and we survey the floor levels and check every stump under the house. The quote that follows is itemised per stump, with materials and permit costs listed separately, and our recommendation and the reasons for it go in writing. There's no obligation and no pressure to go beyond what the inspection supports.

All structural work runs under a Victorian building permit issued by a registered building surveyor and finishes with a certificate of final inspection, which stays with your property records.
